Adding a Device

Example:  Adding a Solar Heater Valve.

Enter Configuration Mode, and once Setup is Verified, the Setup Devices Screen will appear.

1. Scroll Down to the Second Screen and then to the Third Screen.

2. With Solar Valve Highlighted , Move Right to the Next Screen.

3. On Add Device, Move Right to Add the Solar Valve.

4. With Mode Highlighted , Select Pool. A Solar Valve is normally Only Operated in the Pool Mode, but it can be Configured for Other Modes Also.

5. Scroll Down to Device Type, and Select Valve.

6. Scroll Down to Maximum Speed, and Select On/Off. Valves can Only be Configured as On/Off Devices.

7. Scroll Down to Output 1, and Select Internal.  If the Solar Valve is Controlled by an Expansion Box, Select External.

8. Scroll Down to Expansion Boxes, and Only if the Solar Valve is Controlled by an Expansion Box, Select an Expansion Box Number (1-8).

9. Scroll Down to Device No., and Select the Valve Number (3-6) that the Solar Valve is Wired to.

Note: Valves Number 1 & 2 are pre assigned to the Spa Suction and Return for a Pool & Spa Combination.  For a Pool Only Configuration, Valves Numbers 1 & 2 can be used also.

If the Solar Valve is Controlled by an Expansion Box, Select an Expansion Box Valve Number 1 or 2.

10. Scroll Down to Output 2 on the Next Screen, and Do Not attempt to Change the Value.

11. Scroll Down to Expansion Boxes, and Do Not attempt to Change the Value.

12. Scroll Down to Device No., and Do Not attempt to Change the Value.

13. Scroll Down to Freeze Protect, and Select Disable.  Freeze Protection may be Set to Enable if Water is Not Drained from the Solar Heater.

14. Scroll Down to Valves, and Select Disable.

15. Scroll Down to Drain Time, and Select 4 Min. for the amount of Time the Valve stays Open to let the Solar Heater Drain.  Other Values can be Selected if Desired.

16. Scroll Down to Rename Device on the Next Screen, and Move Right to Spell and Save the New Device Name.

17. Navigate Left, Right, Up, and Down to the Desired Letter, and Select the Letter to Spell your New Name.  When the New Name is Complete, Select Save to Save the New Name.

Note: If there is a Solar Heater Booster Pump, set it up in the Same Way as above.  The Solar Pump Option is directly Under the Solar Valve Option in the Setup Devices Menu.
