Two AccessPoint Modules are Required in each Home with Insteon Compatible Products. AccessPoints Repeat all Insteon Messages, and Bridge RF-Only Insteon Devices with Power Line Only Insteon Devices.
Note: The two AccessPoints Couple the Phases of your Home together so that Power Line Only Devices on one AC Phase can communicate with Power Line Only Devices on the Other AC Phase.
1. Plug the First AccessPoint into a convenient Wall Outlet. The AccessPoint LED will be On Dim and Not Blinking.
Note: Do Not use an Outlets Controlled by a Switch for either AccessPoint, and Do Not place AccessPoints near large Metal Objects.
2. On the First AccessPoint, Press and Release the Set Button 4 Times Rapidly.
3. The AccessPoint LED will be On Bright and Not Blinking, and will Continue to On Bright until you Complete Step 7. If it does Not come On Bright, try again and make sure you Press and Release the Set Button 4 Times Rapidly.
4. Plug the Second AccessPoint into a different Wall Outlet. If the AccessPoint LED is On Bright and Not Blinking, Go to Step 7. If Not, Go to Step 5.
5. If the AccessPoint LED is Blinking Off and On or On Dim, Repeat Step 4 trying Another Outlet.
Note: You may need to try Several Outlets. If you have tried 5 or more Outlets with no success, Go back to Step 1 and Move the First AccessPoint to Another Outlet.
OR
6. Once the Second AccessPoint LED is On Bright and Not Blinking, Continue to Step 7.
7. Return to the First AccessPoint, and Press and Release the Set Button.
8. The LED on Both AccessPoints will be On Dim and Not Blinking.
