Using the GWDetect Utility |
|
When the Train/Reset Button on the Wireless Gateway is Tapped it Broadcasts a message containing its Network Configuration Information across the Local Network. The GWDetect Utility receives this Broadcast and Displays the Information. The GWDetect Utility can be Downloaded Here. To use GWDetect: 1. If you have not already done so, download the Utility from the Link above, and Unzip it to a convenient location on your Computer Hard Drive. GWDetect is a standalone program and does not require installation. 2. Double-click the GWDetect Icon in Windows Explorer to Start the Program.
If a Software Firewall is running on the Computer, it may display an alert that “GWDetect” or “Wireless Gateway Detector” is attempting to Access the Network. This access must be allowed to obtain the Configuration Information from the Wireless Gateway. 3. Tap the Train/Reset Button on the Wireless Gateway. The Wireless Gateway’s Network Configuration Information will be Displayed in the Window.
Close the GWDetect Window to Exit the Program. Continue To Assigning a Static IP Address Return To Determining The IP Address Return To Adding Remote Management System |
